Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport is 16 km northeast of Cali, and it's also a major airport for the entire region. There are two terminals and only one runway, and due to the range in long-haul destinations the airport serves some flights come in very late at night so the airport is always open. The facilities are large enough to handle up to a Boeing 747, so long-haul flights are just as luxurious as those going to the busier airport in the capital.

There are plenty of taxis available at Cali Airport, but there is no fixed-price system so you'll have to negotiate before you commit. Fares are generally reasonable, but they also include an airport charge on top of the meter so things can get confusing. As long as you arrive by 8pm you can take a shuttle bus into the main bus terminal in the city center. These leave every 10 minutes and are very cheap.
