Cheap flights to Central America
As a winter travel destination Central America is getting more popular every year, and as a year-round cultural destination the area is also making great gains. Lovely tropical weather combined with generally low prices are making cheap flights to Central America in higher demand all the time. Using Webjet you’ll be able to quickly find the cheapest flights on any airline as well as the best days to fly for the absolute lowest price possible. There are seven countries that make up Central America, and a few of them are far more popular than the others for international visitors. While Belize is the only English-speaking country in the area, its tourism industry is relatively small and mostly focused on a few small islands just off Belize City. San Jose, Costa Rica is a major gateway to all the adventure activities and resorts in that country, while Panama City and Guatemala City are very busy as entry points to those nations.
Airfare to Central America
If you are coming from North America or Europe then you'll have a great chance to find cheap flights to Central America into just a few large cities. You can book all the way through to some of the beach resorts, but in some cases you'll have to book a separate ticket on a local airline to the destination of your choice. Many of these services operate like scheduled bus lines, so often you can just show up at the airport and buy a ticket for a flight right then, still getting the normal price you'd pay in advance.
Airports In Central America
Panama City, Tocumen International Airport (PTY)
The busiest airport in Central America is just outside of Panama City, and it's also the only airport in the region with more than one runway. Obviously Panama City airport is popular with people coming to visit the capital and the canal zone, but it's also an important transfer point to flights to local beach resorts and nearby Caribbean islands.
