Cheap flights to Mumbai (BOM)

Mumbai is both the business and the entertainment capital of India so it's been a popular destination for some time, but now more leisure travelers are coming to explore this huge city on their way to some of the more traditional places elsewhere in the country. It's a major transportation hub for the country, so flights to Mumbai are often very cheap, even from long distances. Using Webjet you’ll be able to quickly find the cheapest flights on any airline as well as the best days to fly for the absolute lowest price airfare possible. The main international airport is almost 30 km north of the city and it can be amazingly busy at any hour of the day so prepare yourself if this is your first visit to India. It's served by most major airlines in Asia and Europe, so most people are no more than one change of planes from Mumbai no matter where you start. Airport transportation is cheap but also a bit confusing.

The airport is 30 km north of the city center and a bit further from the most popular tourist district. Pre-paid taxis are fairly cheap and a good way to avoid much of the confusion of taxi touts you'll be meeting outside. Auto-rickshaws operate on a meter and they are cheaper, but slower and open-air so they aren't always pleasant for longer rides. Rental cars from local companies are available though not advisable unless you know the city or are heading elsewhere, and public buses are available for the broke and adventurous.
